Hoisington High School is a public high school located in Hoisington, Kansas. It is the only high school within the city limits of Hoisington. The building was designed and constructed in 1940 in the Art-Deco style by architect Henry W. Brinkman and. Brinkman and the school is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The school offers many extracurricular activities, both athletic and non-athletic.

One thing that caught my attention in this book was that a few of the women said that the got sick from working in the hospitals and even after they left their health did not return. Louisa May Alcott wrote the samething. It makes a person wonder how hard these women worked. Its even sadder to realize that many were not given pensions for their work.
