This book was quite concise indeed, blazing through the history of the United States at high speed. Andrew Sinclair was born in Oxford in 1935 and was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge.

This book was quite concise indeed, blazing through the history of the United States at high speed. There is a lot of good information here, but many topics are breezed over at times when you want to settle in for a bit. The book worked for my purpose though: to read a summary of . History in an effort to find various times/subjects to hone in on and dig deeper. All in all a good overview. in American History from Cambridge, he pursued an academic career in the United States and England.
