In Administrative Behavior, Herbert Simon proposed a science of administration where organizational decisions represent the primary units of analysis. In constructing a conceptual framework to guide that science, Simon drew heavily on insights from cognitive psychology. Here, consideration is given to the impact of Administrative Behavior in public policy and public administration. Four legacies are highlighted.

I have used Kettl’s Politics of the Administrative Process for close to 10. .My first encounter with Kettl’s Politics of the Administrative Process was from one of former colleagues, who had used this book before.
I have used Kettl’s Politics of the Administrative Process for close to 10 years now and haven’t found a better one. It covers everything I want to cover in class. I especially like the way they highlight issues in all levels of government, not just the federal level.
