The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder is a 2008 book by Vincent Bugliosi, a former prosecutor in Los Angeles

The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder is a 2008 book by Vincent Bugliosi, a former prosecutor in Los Angeles. He argues that President George W. Bush took the United States into the invasion of Iraq under false pretenses and should be tried for murder for the deaths of American soldiers in Iraq. The book sold more than 130,000 copies within its first three months of release. It was the basis of a documentary titled The Prosecution of an American President (2012).

The Prosecution of George. has been added to your Cart. This is a VERY satisfying book for those of us frustrated with the architects of the Iraq debacle who never faced any consequences for their awful and illegal (in some cases) acts. Mr. Bugliosi is very specific and gives many examples to explain how to prosecute Bush for murder. All would be well but he goes a bit off the deep end toward the end of the book, complaining about the coarsening of American culture via films, etc. Should not have gone there.

The Author's intent is to lay out a case of prosecuting Mr Bush for murder. Mr Bugliosi states quite vigorously through the book that his case is NOT one of politics but one of law. Namely the murder of over 100,000 innocent Iraq civilians and currently 4400 dead American soldiers sent over there based on lies and fabrication of the facts by Mr Bush and his administration. It's very obvious MR Vincent Bugliosi cares very little for Mr Bush as a person, politician, man of integrity etc. It's also very obvious, and stated by the author that Mr Bugliosi swings to the left when it comes to his personal politics

The Charles Manson prosecutor and author proposes trying George W. Bush for murder. He cites the evidence in detail and discusses the legal issues in a reasoned analysis that does not conceal his anger at our 43rd President. Bugliosi himself narrates for the first half-hour, and his tone of unrestrained petulance makes the listening painful. Narrator Marc Cashman then takes over, using an objective tone more appropriate for tender ears.

The strongest evidence against Bush, Bugliosi says, is a speech on October 7 2002 claiming that Iraq posed an imminent threat to the security of the United States and was capable of attacking America at any time with his stockpile of weapons of mass destruction.

The story is written by the famed Charles Manson prosecutor. He gives a lot of information in the book you might not have known about, & also gives points about things he would use or say if he was going to prosecute the former President for the decisions and plans he had devised before he had even been sworn in as President.
This is NOT a false flag book. He uses only information that was researched and confirmed. Since then, more information has become available, & his case for prosecution is even stronger, except for the fact Bush was given immunity. Our government certainly wouldn't want to put an ex-President on trial, even though he should be.
There are parts in the book that just made me feel ill to know that Bush did the things he did, & walked away a free and very wealthy man.

Bugliosi is one ballsy writer and Love that! He pulls no punches, and in these times where there is NO true REPORTING, but just corporate media shilling for Washington propaganda, this is Really and Truly Refreshing! And, of course, his subject matter is spot on! I had to show this book to a friend from another country who could not believe a book so titled could be published here. Yup...for now at any rate. Our Bill of Rights may be tattered, but it's still here. As I read this book and his other,"The Betrayal of America" I couldn't help but think that The Pentagon Papers could NEVER be published today; in fact would not have had that ending. Two other whistleblowers have had to flee to remain Free! If, big IF, what Bugliosi demands in this book actually takes place - as it Should - our Country would be back on track with Accountability, Ethics, and Integrity. The facts are all laid out in this book and as shocking as they are, even more so, is that nothing was ever done at the time. It is my sincere hope that those in positions to do this, Do So! Better late than not at all.

If you've ever had doubts about what happened before, during and after 9/11 then this book will truly shock you and probably make you very angry!! Vincent is the greatest attorney I feel and it is so sad that we have lost a genius mind. I took law classes before and did well and I just love it. When you read this, it is clear that a lot of people walked away from those years hurting and torn forever. Book in great condition and a MUST read for those who like to at least hear what others have to say on the subject!

Everyone should read this book and keep for future generations to read. I remember in the weeks leading up to the Iraq war watching the news and talk show hosts talking about the Bush administration's concern over weapons of mass destruction in that country. The UN inspectors were doing their job and hadn't found any. "Where's the evidence? Show us the evidence", I would say to the TV - (remember Cuba?). There was none because there weren't any WMD's. Simple as that - and I was just one of millions of stay-at-home moms who could have told these people who run our country what was obvious to any average american. It was all trumped up by Cheney, Rumsfield and Bush to feed their sick and twisted egos.

I know so many books are out there critiquing the administration on Iraq, but Bugliosi just obliterates the arguments the administration presented in justifying the Iraq war...from its dogmatic neocon certitude, to its being duped by Chalabi, to its establishing rogue intel services within the Pentagon and Cheney's office to spin the intel to its liking(when CIA, State Dep't intel refused to toe the administration line), to a discussion on the administration's reliance upon totally discredited "Curveball" second-hand testimony, to the bogus and forged Niger documents purporting to show Saddam intended to purchase uranium, to how the administration released an "unclassified" version of the classified NIE intel assessment on Iraq that EXCLUDED THE NUMEROUS DISSENTS to its conclusions(and which caused Senator Bob Graham, one of the few senators to read the ENTIRE classified report(not just the administration's disingenuous unclassified version)to conclude he could not vote to authorize military force on Iraq.

I was more impressed with Bugliosi's refutation of the arguments the administration utilized in ginning up this war, than with his arguments calling for Bush to be prosecuted for murder, altho it would be a horrible blight on our nation if Bush and company are not held accountable for this disaster.

As an independent, it is apparent Bugliosi comes at this from a liberal democrat perspective.

But even so, any American who cares for his nation cannot read Bugliosi's masterful dismantling of the arguments posed by the administration to justify this war without being totally enraged.

Otherwise very well researched and written. Wish he were still alive so we could discuss this book.

a little heavy handed but overall correct. It needs to get to the point and stop being hyperbolic... but then you would have to even change the title, right?. There is no doubt that GW Bush will go down as this countries worst president. There is no doubt that he could be tried for murder. But he would just plead insanity and no jury would convict him.
Although the subject matter is difficult...no one can argue with Mr. Bugliosi's legal analysis and logic. It's a real shame he has passed. Would also highly recommend his seminal book (after Helter Skelter), Reclaiming History, the definitive review of the JFK assassination.
