In the 1960's, Fr. Hans Urs von Balthasar gave two conferences in Paris on the subject of redemption. One considered the perspective of Christ the Redeemer. It is a good book to get an idea of what the Incarnation means and what it implies. It opens news vistas to be looked further into and meditate upon.

This book is a good introduction as to how we can understand Anselm's theory of Atonement today. I can't help but feel that they could have added another lecture or article to this collection, as this book is very brief, and fluffed out with a long (but helpful) commentary.

This is really heavy stuff. The author's constant references to obscure Latinized Roman Catholic doctrine and theological authors makes it extremely difficult to follow unless one has read and understands the references, which are usually not written in English.
