Interesting view on an interesting subject. Would have liked more historical information to put things in perspective. But worth owning.

WHile not distracting from the over all substance and gist of the book, there are a few errors here. For example, the poem "Love came and filled me like blood..." is attributed to Rumi, when in fact it was written by Abu-Said Abil-Kheir about 300 years before Rumi. The author's apparent lack of familiarity with the Persian language (Farsi) in which most of the major Sufi poets wrote, is perhaps a slight disadvantage.

This is a compilation of some of the most reknown Sufi poets. Hafiz, Rumi and others are well represented in this slim paperback volume. Every time I open this book I smile.
