I have some audio tapes of S. Rinpoche and have always enjoyed listening to him. Also, I have thought very highly of his updated version of The Tibetan Book of the Dead (The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying).

I work in a graduate program office of a big university and enjoy conversing with our students regularly. College and life in general cause us much stress and many of our young people can benefit from anything which can help them de-stress and deal with things that come their way. The book is a great intro to the practical and helpful ideas in Buddhism that can make life more enjoyable for us... he has written it in such a sensible way and it reaches out to anyone, of any faith background. The book costs a bit more than when it was first published in this format, but I find it worth sharing and keep several on hand, just so I might share it when someone really seems to need what it can give.

Was not informed this book is a miniature book (4 inches). Would not have paid over $11 for this book had I known. Otherwise good content.

I bought this book while trekking in Nepal, and I have always wanted to begin mediation but I have a hard time keeping still. This book offers different techniques to help you focus and clear you mind through meditation. The book is only 90 pages thus making it an easy read!
