Stanley Baum, a pioneer in vascular radiology, was appointed Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiology. Because of ill health, Dr. Richard H. Chamberlain retired from the administrative duties of the Department of Radiology, but he remained Professor until his untimely death in December of the same year.
