Smitha Thomas, MD Teaching Files are one of the hallmarks of education in radiology. When there was a need for a compre- hensive series of books to provide the resident and practicing radiologist with the kind of personal con- sultation with the experts normally found only in the setting of a teaching hospital, Lippilloott Williams & Wilkins is proud to have created a series that answers this need. Actual cases have been culled from extensive teaching files in major medical centers.

Featuring 1,785 CT and MRI images and 470 cases from leading medical centers, this Second Edition is a comprehensive teaching-file atlas covering virtually all abdominal and pelvic diseases. Cases are presented as unknowns in a consistent format—a brief clinical history, several images, relevant findings, differential diagnosis, final diagnosis, and a discussion. This format helps readers hone their diagnostic reasoning skills and offers excellent preparation for radiology board exams.

This edition includes 245 brand-new cases, new images for 190 cases, and a new abdominal wall chapter. Images reflect state-of-the-art technologies, including multidetector row CT, 3D reformatted images, and breath-hold MRI sequences.

Lots of nice cases, good images. For the price, can't beat it for body MRI and CT. May not have the rare findings, but overall very sound.
