Trout provides a variety of authors ranging from the oral tradition to modern Native American writers. This anthology is a must read.

I really liked some of the poetry in this book.
It has Sherman Alexi's and Leslie Marmon Silko's poems and other famous Native American writers' stories.
I definitely recommend people who want to study about Native Americans' literature.
