User reviews
Book was in excellent condition, no complaints.
Great book for anyone wishing to learn or review basics of English in everyday writing.
No scratches, looked like new right in time for college! But the book itself just explains things people already know like what is a period or what is a comma. Waste of paper, discuss with your teacher to review it before making the class buy it. Bought it on Amazon because it was the best bargain! But the content of the book is one star. But thanks Amazon for bringing it to me in great condition :)

Great condition, convenient for our students.
It's a good book.
I purchased this book for my beginning college English class and am quite pleased with it. My students find it a helpful guide as they try to understand the basics of writing and reading in English; I like it because of the number of well-structured writing exercises in each chapter. This book has a focus on critical thinking that is also tremendously helpful. Critical thinking is something that, sadly, not many of my students know how to do. This textbook leads them through the process so that they can learn how to think critically for themselves. The authors have done a fine job of teaching necessary principles of English, while at the same time guiding uncertain students through the confusing maze that learning English can be. I recommend Everyday Writing for any basic English class aimed toward getting students to a collegiate writing and reading level.
