ABSTRACT A new concept for enhanced turbulent transport of heat in. internal coolant passages of gas turbine blades is introduced. This Reynolds number is based on the cylinder diameter for the pin fin case and on the fin width for the oscillator fin case which are taken to be equal. A standard k-ε turbulence model coupled with an Algebraic Reynolds Stress Model is used for turbulence modeling.
