The text is supported by challenging Problem-Exercises (and Answers) to test student comprehension. Index notation used in the text simplifies manipulations in the sections on vectors and tensors. I came across this book in a bookshop while I was studying physics. The section on matrices and determinants and vector field theory are really brilliant especially matrices and determinants. I've never seen a maths books that went so deeply into how matrices work and opened the topic up so well - especially useful for computer scientists!
