I anxiously awaited this book!! Daisy has been my favorite character in the Lakeshore books since I first met her in "The Winter Lodge" (My first experience with the Lakeshore Chronicles) as a young teen who was learning who she was in life.

I've loved following her with both Julian and Logan through the rest of the series; and found myself taking my time while reading her book.

I loved the story line with Julian, I have loved watching him make something of himself! (Remember, when we first met him he was "troubled" ) And I loved how he grew up right along side Daisy throughout the series.

I've never cared for Logan, but this book did redeem him a bit in my mind. (He's still not one of my favorites, but I think it's because he reminds me too much of one of my own ex boyfriends.)

Over all? This book was excellent, and while there was part of the book I wasn't sure if I'd be happy with the end? I loved the end! It was the perfect way to tie up Daisy's story.

I have now read all the Lakeshore Chronicles in the past 2 months. Each had its own appeal. I was glad at the ending for Daisy but would have liked to have had more at the end. It seemed to cut off a part of the story that would have given warmth to the book. I am wondering if this is the last of the Lakeshore Chronicles or will Sonnet and Zach find their way home to each other? I also would like the author, Susan Wiggs, to write a last book that brings all of the characters together to remind us of the prior journeys we took to get to Daisy's wedding. If there is another book in the series I hope we don't have to wait a year for its release. Good job, Ms Wiggs.

Great writing, two peoples lives that twist and turn just like real life. Very contemporary subject matter, blended families and all that involves.

Enjoyable cleanly written, relationship focused, stories within stories. Wiggs writing is both simple yet also complex in her character development. Charm upheld by a structure of grit! Never trite or tiring. Highly recommend for an enjoyable escape where you will feel a part of this endearing community, escaping for a time, as do the variety of effective characters you'll come to know.

I had a hard time finishing this novel. Didnt really care for the characters. Do not recommend this book. I have enjoyed other Susan Wiggs books. This one just didn't do it for me.
Wat!?
Sorry I can't agree with rave reviews; enjoyed other Lakeshore books but this one just took me to the edge of not wanting to finish. After an initial tragedy, the story line is just too predictable for words and Daisy Bellamy becomes a character I no longer like as much as I did.

Filled with ups and downs and even frustrating moments, you can’t help but root for Daisy and Julian. Finding each finally only to be torn apart, then kept apart by choices made with the best of intentions. You won’t be sorry taking time to join them in their journey to find love.
There was so much in this book. Love, heartbreak, and more important to me the love of family. Daisy and Julian so deserved their second chance. Keep writing Susan Wiggs and I will keep reading.
