A good story for me as an addict to the fantasy of space travel and the humans who are just people like us; curious, looking for challenge and able to work things out as things come up. They don't need everything laid out before they try something new. Isn't that the definition of an interesting life style?

Awesome story that takes place immediately after Star Trek Generations.

Well...I ordered this book on a recommendation from a fellow Trekkie, and I haven't read it yet, but I am sure I will LOVE it. When I got the book in the mail, I was unaware that I had ordered a Used book. I thought it was coming brand new, but apparently I was mistaken. However, I have no complaint as the book came in Used, but Good condition, and for the low price I really can't complain. I am glad that I purchased this book.

Edit:
After reading this book, I decided it was, in fact a very good book! I think William Shatner takes a few liberties with the Star Trek universe, but for anyone who isn't too strict about sticking to what's canon, this is a great read! It also includes characters from 3 different series: The Original Series, The Next Generation, AND Deep Space Nine. WARNING: This book will make you want to buy the sequel, Avenger.

I've been working my way very happily through all of Shatner's Star Trek novels, and this is one more good read among many. My only beef (withholding one star) is that this book is not on Kindle, and I have to carry around a paperback again.

Am currently reading this book and have revised my opinion of William Shatners abilities as an author. So far this book is very readable and very interesting. It is a good read.

I enjoyed this resurrection of Captain James T. Kirk. I have read the entire series of Mr. Shatner's books. This book would have made a great follow up film to Generations.
I laughed when I saw Shatner the actor listed as the author, but bought it anyway -- actors generally can't write. Boy was I wrong. Outstanding. Paramount is a bunch of morons if they don't fund this into a movie, it would be a blockbuster. A true work of brilliance.
