This is my first experience with Sidney Sheldon's works. I realized going in that there needed to be some flexibility in my thinking at the outset, knowing this was his first too.;)

I'm glad to have experienced this. The language was definitely dated but I found that to be really interesting in and of itself. It reminds one honestly of the stigma and societal thought processes of the times (ahem...it'll make ya compare it to current day thinking and whether or not we've progressed much in 42 years.;)

I did find the story a bit predictable and did guess pretty early on who was, at the very least, involved in the bad side of things but over all...I did enjoy this read. It moved along quickly and kept me turning pages enthusiastically. Which I do believe was, understandably, Mr. Sheldon's primary goal in his writing.;)

I wasn't sure exactly what to think of the ending on this. It was rather abrupt and had me piecing together what happened after the story ended. I'm hoping I was wrong but last I recall...someone was left alone in the presence of someone rather diabolical, unbeknownst to someone else. Yep....hope I was wrong.;)

I saw the movie on late TV and bought the book for comparison. Both were pretty good but differed somewhat as to be expected.

Sidney Sheldon is one of my favorite authors. His books always grab my intention from the get go. This was no exception. I would have given it 5 stars but I got bored in a couple places and the end was not as great as it could have been. But, like usual, an entertaining read.

A simple book, but very entertaining. You will finish it in about 4 hours. It's fun and easy to read. If you want to pass the time with pure entertainment, this is a good one.

just started this book, it should be interesting, it is after reading the first 2 chapters.

So ridiculous, worse Sheldon story line I've read, wasn't worth the time, his books are usually so much more suspenseful and believable
The ending still shocks me even after one month I finished my read. The last 100 pages are much more captivating than the former, which makes me want to quit many times. The logic is not perfectly strict but generally fine. Love it.
