by. Dagg, J. L. (John Leadley), 1794-1884; American Baptist Publication Society.

For those who love theology, these books are a treasure among treasures. It is amazing to me after reading such theologies as James P. Boyces' "Abstract of Systematic theology" or Francis Turretins' "Institutes of Elenctic Theology," that Dagg is able to express such depth of theological understanding in such an easy to read and comprehensive way. This work is to be applauded for more than just it's theological content, but also for the genius with which it was written.

John L. Dagg’s Manual of Theology is divided into two volumes: the first a treatise on Christian doctrine; the second, on ecclesiology. The Church Universal.

This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the original. Due to its age, it may contain imperfections such as marks, notations, marginalia and flawed pages. An excellent Baptist theologian from the 19th century. Dagg's Manual of Theology, in its exalting of God's sovereignty and grace, should be required reading in all Baptist seminaries and Bible colleges.

Great content but the whoever formatted this book did not link the footnotes to the one's at the end of the book but to the founder's website where he copied the text from. If you click a footnote it the book it takes you to the webpage that it originally was linked to.
