See jane die. She squinted against it as a single, wispy cloud trotted across the postcard-perfect blue sky. Jane looked back at the shore and waved her arms triumphantly. Her half sister, Stacy, two years her senior, had dared her to swim in the frigid water. Stacy's know-it-all friendsЧand fellow truantsЧhad joined in, clucking their tongues, taunting her.

Erica Spindler's See Jane Die is a suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very ending. Its also one that doesn't give you a clue at the "whodunitt" either, so if you're like me, its pretty darn hard not to flip to the last page to see if everything worked out well for the chacters in the story. Jane Killian is a woman with much to live for. After a boating accident as a teen left her disfigured, she has rebuilt her life and her face, thanks to many surgeries.

User reviews
When fifteen-year-old Jane Killian accepted the dare from her older sister Stacy and her friends, she had no idea it would change her life so completely. So irrevocably.

Seventeen years later, Jane was married to Dr. Ian Westbrook, a successful cosmetic surgeon, and they had just discovered they were going to have a baby. Their happiness was complete. Jane’s confidence, after all the reconstructive surgery she’d endured, was finally secure. Her own art was bringing her to the attention of the people who mattered in the art world and life couldn’t be better.

Detective Stacy Killian was Jane’s sister and they’d been lightly estranged since their grandmother had died. But when Stacy was called to a gruesome murder in La Plaza, and she discovered ties between the victim and Jane’s husband, suspicions, lies and circumstantial evidence followed. It was when another body was discovered, and Ian was arrested for murder that Jane’s world disintegrated. With all the evidence pointing to Ian’s guilt, how could she convince the police he was innocent?

See Jane Die by Erica Spindler is an incredibly gripping psychological thriller which I thoroughly enjoyed. I couldn’t put it down – and I definitely didn’t see the twist coming at the end! The first in the Stacy Killian series; I’ll be looking to read #2 soon. Highly recommended.
Erica Spindler had me guessing. No, I will not re-summarize what has already been well summarized about the book. However --- Was it the husband? The assistant? The best friend? The cop? I was all over the place with this one until the end when it all fell into place, of course. But, a good murder mystery keeps one guessing all the way through. This one did. Likable characters, excellent psychopath (wanted to hurt him, really), such betrayal and lies. Wow. Simply well done. Tight and taut.
I don't think there's ever been a book by Erica Spindler that I didn't enjoy. All of her books have a way of drawing you into the characters mind-set after just the first chapter. For me this was a very quick read, I had a lot of trouble putting it down so I was able to knock it out in only 4 hours while at the beach. A few twists and turns, nice story line, and a few friends also agree.
I love to write reviews of books I've read, but I don't like to give too much away when doing it. So let me say about this book, I thoroughly enjoyed much that I read the last 147 pages in the last few hours. It was fast paced and exciting. It had just the right amount of romance and thrilling suspense. I love Jane (the heroine) and her sister Stacey. Detective Mac McPherson, Friend Dave, Janes Husband Ian and even Ranger the Dog. If your looking for a quick read, pick up this book, it definately won't disappoint! See Jane Die, is in a class all buy itself! Well written Ms. Spindler!
Funny duck
these female characters are not likable, especially the cop Stacy. I stopped reading shortly after being introduced to her.
This was a bit slow to start, but when it did I was hooked. Thought I knew the culprit, but, boy was I wrong! Great twist. Erica Spindler is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.
Very good story line, kept you wondering through the whole story. Well written, great murder mystery type novel. I'm not an avid reader but I enjoyed this book very much.
Erica Spindler weaves you straight into the lives of some wickedly insane plot and you are hooked. You don't know who to trust anymore, because the people you do trust are not who you think, a wicked roller coaster ride straight to he'll!!!
