When I set out searching for an Aztec-themed novel, I was looking for an ancient setting with lots of war and adventure. This was a very pleasant surprise and I enjoyed every single page. Am definitely looking for more Charles Hinds books.

If you like Clive Cussler's adventure stories, with a larger-than-life hero and authetic jungle scenes from the heart of Mexico, this one will please you. A little-known author whose books are destined to become treasures!

I found this fiction novel interesting and fast paced, without the loading of sex in order to sell. The plot carried it along through areas of Mexico that do exit. It made me think about what actually did happen to the treasures that Cortez was unable to take with him.
