The films star, Kristen Stewart, said of the movie, It’s kind of like a ‘woke’ version. Charlie’s Angels’ failure is just the most recent evidence that woke feminist films are box office poison. Of course, men will go see women in action movies, Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel being two prime examples of highly successful female action movies, but fear not, Elizabeth Banks dropped some feminist knowledge to counter that uncomfortable fact when she said, They (men) will go and see a comic book movie with Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel because that’s a male genre.

This book is amazing for anyone interested in the history of Comfort Texas. I enjoyed reading about each woman who made a difference in the community. It was nice that it spanned early settlers as well as a bit more modern times, if you will.

Comfort Women in Comfort History was written as a gift to the Comfort, Texas community by Anne and Mike Stewart in 1993. That makes 2008 the 15th anniversary of this book about the women in Comfort who built the churches, organized the local African American school, wrote books, owned & edited The Comfort News, founded The Comfort Little Theatre still in operation today, established a Christian kindergarten in a town of Free thinkers, rescued lost history of Comfort's black colony living in Lane Valley, including their school and cemetery, the MExican women who maintained their customs of la familia, the church, the cuaranderas and parteras, the Rosary said every day at a certain time.
Women's history rescued from oblivion.
