This is part 1 of a two-part volume series. The Funckens are justifiably famous for producing several colourful books on various miltary periods. These books abound with hundreds of excellent and delightful illustrations, all accompanied by good captions and explanatory text. They won't make you an expert on uniforms, but you certainly become enlightened and are tempted to search for more references. Terrific and addictive primers for grown-up children of all ages.
