This book contains little, if any, information about ironclads of the American Civil War. The Confederate ironclads - outside the CSS Virginia - simply don't exist in this book. The watercolor paintings, while nice, are virtually useless as reference. I can't recommend this book for anyone seeking to increase their knowledge of ACW ironclads.
