User reviews
This book is filled with actual diagrams and strategies. There is so much to read and learn here its pretty impressive. This is the field manual. It gives lots of pictures and in some cases a step-by-step how you'd like to see the battle develop, how you'd like to move your elements across the field of battle to execute your attack. I also found it very nice that in some places they gave actual historical examples to the strategies.
Hilarious Kangaroo
It is a good book for anyone seriously interested in the military topic. It is easy to understand, every situation is clearly explained and you can learn many concepts and vocabulary. The book can be read independently, notwithstanding, as the prologue says, it should be supplemented with other manuals (and that should be a pleasure if you really like this topic) because this is only a part of what the military machine is.
This manual gives a detailed analysis of field tactics, Giving you historical examples of the corresponding tactic, with rich information along with a abundance of pictures for those who prefer them. I would recomend this book to the president. But this read should not be read separate but with other similar books to help you build your stratagems, and tactics repertoire.
Still reading, but it has been very useful as a reference tool and has been inciteful to me on how our military works in combat.
This book has been a huge help in my transition into the Army. A little dry in delivery but definitely worth every penny.
Item as described.
Pretty good review of field tactics, update from my older books when I was drafted in 1970.
Excellent reading.
