Formation and early history. Middlesex Yeomanry Cavalry 1871. Duke of Cambridge's Hussars 1884. The uniform worn by the Uxbridge Yeomanry Cavalry was of the Light Dragoon pattern with a broad-topped shako of dark green, ornamented with a brass Maltese Cross with the Arms of the County of Middlesex placed in the centre, and the motto adopted was 'Pro Aris et Focis', which can be loosely interpreted as 'For Hearth and Home'.

The Berkshire Yeomanry was an auxiliary regiment of the British Army formed in 1794 to counter the threat of invasion during the French Revolutionary Wars. It was the Royal County of Berkshire's senior volunteer unit with over 200 years of voluntary military service

The book reveals a number of critical truths, exposing deep flaws that have persisted for decades in American strategic thinking-flaws that have led successive American presidents to ask the American military to accomplish the impossible, often while barely providing it with the resources to accomplish even the most modest of goals. Read Bacevich-not for the solutions he proposes but to be sobered by the challenge.

From using incorrect names of dynasties to getting dates wrong, the book is littered with errors. 2. Catherwood has no sense of pacing. There are pages devoted to a small battle in World War I (in terms of the overall war) but literally there is one sentence on the Ottoman Tanzimat (60 year reform period). If you're looking for a brief one volume overview of the history of the Middle East then this is a good book. Trying to summarize a few thousand years of history into a single volume is no mean feat and I think Catherwood does a good job. I found him to give a fair representation of Christianity and Judaism.
