I have the first edition and when I saw this I knew I had to get it. Amazingly there is only one recipe repeated.

I do have a sort of love/dislike feeling over the way the book is laid out. It is in your typical sections (breakfast, drinks, dinner, etc.) but the beginning half of the book is in weekly menus. So if you are looking for a chicken dish you have to go to the index or flip through the whole first half of the book, then go to the dinner section.

The reason I dislike this set up is that not everything is in the right place. The reason I like it is that you get ideas for the whole week, including shopping lists, tips, etc.

If I'm browsing for ideas I flip through the pages, if I'm looking for something specific I use the index.

This book is awesome! I made a lot of great meals with this book. I bought it because i was getting tired of making the same thing over and over. The best part is that it has a weekly shopping list for 12 weeks worth of recipes. Plus there are additional recipes including soups, salads, desserts and breakfast. All are beautifully illustrated and easy to make. I highly recommend this book. I bought one for a friend too!

My wife had asked for this particular cook book for quite some time, and so I finally remembered to pick it up for her. She likes it a lot and has used it on numerous occasions. I know she's also recommended it to some of her own friends and family, which she wouldn't do unless she really enjoyed it. I'd recommend it for any cooker in your life.

I bought the first book at my sons school book fair to prepare meals for the family. It went over so well, my oldest daughter asked for one now that she is starting her own family. While searching for the first edition - I decided to just get both. Only time will tell. These book are so user friendly. It tells you everything you need to buy for the entire week and the common staples a kitchen should have for basic cooking. Well done Taste of Home, Well done.

This book has tons of excellent, EASY to prepare recipes. Simple and delicious is a perfect title for it. I like that nutrtional information for each recipe is provided as well. Taste of Home provided another great book. If you like to cook but don't want to take tons of time to do it, this is a great book for you!

Odd organization but other than that this book delivers of the quick & easy promise. All recipes are labled 30, 20, or 10 min. Great full color pictures & easy to read.
