Dora The Explorer Flash Cards- Opposites are a educational learning tool designed to help children learn opposite words. The cards accomplish this task by including two different, full color images on each of the flash cards. The images include Dora the Explorer, Boots, and their friends, with opposite scenes at the top and bottom of the card. The idea is for children to guess how the two scenes are different. To check the answer, all that is necessary is to slide the card apart, in the middle

These are a nice idea, and I thought my toddler would love them because she loves seek-n-find and lift-the-flap activities, plus she enjoys the alphabet. However, these were much too difficult for her to move on her own. When she tried to close them, they would stick and the force would cause them to bend in the middle. Once the card bent, it would become almost useless. Also, some of the photos for the letters were characters or images that were unique to Dora and since we don't watch Dora, she wasn't familiar with them. For our personal use, I wish they were sturdier, easier to move, and more "generic" than the Dora set. If you have an older child with more developed motor skills, who is also a Dora fan, then these might be more appropriate for you.

I bought these for our life skills k2 classroom. The majority of our kids are autistic, and they love the visuals and movement of the cards. And they love Dora! Some of the kids are rough and clumsy with the cards, but they have held up so far.

My 3-year old daughter thinks of these flash cards as one of her Dora toys...which is awesome. Fun and education at the same time.

I have a special needs grandson who is in a heavily language based preschool program. Our care aide brought the Dora alphabet cards for him to play with and we were so impressed that we wanted to get a set for him. When we found the shapes and colors and opposites we ordered all three sets. In fact, we ordered two sets and donated one to the special needs preschool program. The teacher was very impressed with the cards and very appreciative of the donation. My grandson really enjoys all three sets of the cards and is becoming more consistent with identifying his alphabet, shapes, colors, and opposits.Dora the Explorer Flash Cards-AlphabetDora the Explorer Flash Cards-OppositesShapes and Colors : Slide and Learn Interactive Flash Cards (Go Diego Go Ser - January 2009)Go Diego Go Flash Cards-Shapes and Colors
