"What Kind of Fairy is Merry Berry?" is a fun read that builds self esteem in its young readers. As an elementary school teacher I like to read children's books with kids. I shared the book with a 9 year old girl named Alyssa. Alyssa liked the book, immediately commenting on how "cute" and "pretty" the illustrations were. One of her favorite parts, of the book, was the pages with sparkles and glitter. She got very excited when she met the fairy "Skye Pie the Dragonfly". Alyssa loved all the colorful details, especially the cupcake filled rainbow. The 9 year old zipped through the story, reading with great enthusiasm. Alyssa commented about how the end of the story had a good message for little girls like her.
As a teacher, I like how this enchanting gem of a book encourages young girls to find their own "special gift" within themselves. Amazon recommends Merry Berry for girls who are 4-8 years old. From my experience, with 9 year old Alyssa, I believe the books appeal goes far beyond such a limited age range. Anyone who loves fairies will love Merry Berry and all the Lulabellez.

"What Kind of Fairy is Merry Berry?" is a sweet cartwheel turn through a magical fairy-land. It is not only beautifully illustrated but also has a great story. Any little girl would LOVE to receive this book. There are sparkles and glitter galore without it being overly girly. The message is a timeless and sweet one. My wee one Leah has only had it for two days and we have read it no less than ten times! I highly recommend this book for the little girl in your life.

This beautifully illustrated book makes my daughter smile and laugh every time we read it. The pages are filled with sparkles, delectable colors and fairies dressed up in clothes you'd like to steal for your own - I mean your daughter's! - closet.

Beyond the art, I adore the book because of the message - Find what you love and do it. The sooner I can get my daughter to understand this idea and live by it, the better. I was so happy to find a book that presents this theory is such lovely packaging.

Obviously a wonderful gift for young girls, but I'd send it to graduates of high school and college as a fun reminder too. Can't wait to see what else this author comes up with!

This book has many layers of lovely and little girls and young ladies alike love it! I bought several copies for my nieces of various ages and they are all big fans. The illustrations bring you into a gorgeous world of fairies, glitter, cupcakes and the importance of identifying your own gifts to bring to the world. I hope to see more of these wonderful Lulabellez - the unique characters and exquisitely created world would seemingly inspire endless possibilities.

The book, "What Kind of Fairy is Merry Berry," is simply wonderful. I have never seen anything like it. The Illustrations carry the reader off to a magical sparkling world of vibrant colors. Every page is eye-catching. The Lulabellez fairies are delightful.

The book is a fantastic gift. I was pleased to discover that this lovely book appealed to a gifted 12 year old girl.
My neighbors, 10 year old daughter, got excited when she found out that there are Lulabellez fairy costumes at Toys R Us.
"I can be one of the fairies for Halloween!" she said. A friends 3 year old takes this book to bed with her every night. "Merry Berry" was the perfect gift for my Japanese pen-pal. Her grand daughter is in an English Emersion School in Japan.
Merry Berry is not just another "fairy book."

i feel very fortunate that i ran across this little jewel of a book..being at a loss of what to give the little darlings who already have everything,i see now that i can easily send something new that will capture their attention, especially when the dolls and costumes/accessories become available..i love the storyline of teaching a child to be kind, helpfull and positive in a self-rewarding feel-good way and building self esteem- so important for girls-and never to early to start..brava to the author and to amazon ..i look forward to more books in the future..

This will be a classic in no time! This is a wonderful book with beautiful illustrations. Every little girl will want to be a cupcake fairy too! My daugher loves all the characters in this book, including the cat pom pom!!
This book was highly recommended to me by a good friend and it does not disappoint. My 2 ½ year old daughter (who is normally more into cars, trains and puppies) absolutely adores Merry Berry and her fairy friends. The book, as others have mentioned, is a work of art. It is fun to read (over and over as many times as demanded, which is usually many), and best of all has a beautiful, positive message. My daughter loves to feel the sparkly texture and dance around pretending she is a magic fairy as I read to her. So much fun!!
