This is a great book for drawing bugs. The first few chapters are on techniques (Materials; Anatomy; Colour; Texture; Action), and then there are 15 different bugs to draw (no information on the bugs themselves, just how to draw them). Instructions are generally 4-5 steps, and the end product looks fairly realistic. The book seems to be appropriate for older children with some drawing experience on up to adults. The final step for each picture is in color, so one can get an idea of how to color the drawings as well, but there are not any real life pictures to illustrate, just drawings.

The bugs included are: snail, ladybird, caterpillar, centipede, butterfly, crane fly, earwig, shield bug, dragonfly, scarab beetle, tarantula, ant, bluebottle, grasshopper, and bee.
