I enjoyed this brief and concise non fiction book about Steve Bene, grandson of the "The King of the Gypsies," for the information it provided about Steve, his family, and the gypsies historically, and their life in America at the time of publication, 1976. I regard it as a great film.
Steve tells author Peter Maas that he wants to change and he wants to change the way the gypsies live. The book is very very short. You can read it almost in 1 sitting. The book ends there and we do not know if he was successful. bbp okc ok--50's--60's aries 2009.

Peter Maas was married to Audrey Gellen Maas, with whom he adopted a son, John-Michael Maas. 1974-King of the Gypsies.
