I guess it is my fault for not paying attention to the description of this hardcover book but, I was quite disappointed when I opened the pkg and discovered it is actually a "mini-book." It is approximately 5" x 5" not a very impressive coffee table book. the photos are beautiful and of course, Chihuly's designs are magnificent.
This is quite simply a gorgeous book - a veritable feast for the eyes! This series is one of my favorites of renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly. He takes his inspiration from nature and it shows in the organic forms he creates. I also love Chihuly's garden installations and have been fortunate enough to see them in person in Miami. The water installations I saw there and my visits to the Chihuly Museum come pleasantly back to mind when I visit this book and the accompanying DVD.
Breathtaking photos of incredible glass work.
Mother's Day Gift, a Book and Video, She Loved It!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful book and DVD. I love Chihuly's work, and it's well presented here.
I purchased this book for a relative who was thrilled. My kids also loved looking at the gorgeous pictures. There were short descriptions of each item; this book is more for the pictures than for information about glass making. It is perfect to pick up and read a few pages at a time before bed or just to flip through.
Beautiful photos of Masterwork glass sculptures, ruined by the format of the book. Each photo was 'cut in half' by the center fold of the book. NO attention to detail here.
The book was a good one with pictures of the chihuly glass sculptures.
