I purchased this book for use in my vocal lessons under my instructor's recommendation, and so far i'm really liking it. It has a great assortment of music with various different languages. All the songs that are in a different language also come with the english lyrics so you can perform either the original or english version. What i especially like are the CD's that come with the book, the CD's contain the piano accompaniment to the songs and it's extremely helpful for practicing at home. Definitely a good buy.

The music is very well printed, the lyrics are clear. What more do you want in a book of solos?

These books are staples for young vocalists, so I'm glad I was able to get a bargain on this one.

It's very good! Some really lovely pieces in this one, and a lot of variety in terms of style and range. Unlike Part 1, unfortunately it doesn't contain any Spanish songs, but it has plenty in English, French, German, and Italian. I was especially happy to see "The Time for Making Songs has Come"--it's not a very common piece, and it's hard to find it elsewhere. Here are the contents--I hope this helps! I don't know why they don't list them in the product description:
"Art Thou Troubled?" (G. F. Handel)
"Bluebird" (Rudolph Schirmer)
"A Brown Bird Singing" (Haydn Wood)
"For My Soul Thirsteth for God" (Felix Mendelssohn)

"I Will Lay Me Down in Peace" (Maurice Green)
"I Will Sing of Thy Great Mercies" (Felix Mendelssohn)
