I grew up in the Chinese cultures where "relationships", "money" and "corruptions" are tightly knitted together. After I became a Christian in 2001, I read Lord's Words and learn that I should have the "Fear of the Lord". But, churches I attended so far, rarely taught the congregation the importance of "HONOR."

This word "honor", to today's young generations , is like a myth, a joke, or just an idealistic tradition we once heard long long long time ago.

Out of all the books I read so far in my life (and I read lots of books each year since age 6), this book IMPACTS my personal character the MOST at age 28. I used to think I was quite a good person, might only tell white lie when situation really needed it. I thought I am sincere, reasonable, logic, kind, nice, friendly, a faithfully tithing Christian, have dual seminary master degrees, read Bible every day, try my best to find time to talk to God and help others (if I really find time and not watching TV or Facebooking). I thought I have everything together, so perfect, God must be so pleasing with me. I was so self-righteous, I was living in my own happy glorious bubble that says: "God must be so proud of me".

In 2008, When a close Korean sister introduced me this book, I was quite offended in heart, honestly.
(Hey, I was such a perfect person. What do you mean by inviting me to read this book? I know what's honor. I don't need you to tell me. Are you saying that I am not an honorable person? How dare you?
Who do you think you are? Hypocrite! I don't think you are better than me after all.
(see, that sinful and prideful self-righteous talk just showed)).

But, anyway, in order to show my minister's "humbleness" to accept corrections and the desire to become a better person, so I read.

I READ and READ.

Though the book's cover is a military man holding his sword representing his honor and integrity (and thanks to all the soldiers out there who served/serve our nation! God bless you!), as a sister, my heart was still much troubled and challenged by Mr. Copeland's words. His words are not only for males, but also for all christians.

My heart cried out all the time while I was reading it.

(WHY?? WHY?? Nobody ever told me how important honor and uprightness in our life are?
How much more blessings we could have had in our life, and how much curses we could have avoided, if we simply chose to live a God-fearing honorable life?)

I always wondered how America grew so powerful and strong within 200 years among all the nations on this earth, and this book answered it all. It was because Americans once upheld the HONOR, UPRIGHTNESS, and INTEGRITY.

Chinese (I am NOT a mainlander China Chinese. I am a Taiwanese, Taiwan, not Thailand) may have recent economic or military power rise, but they will NEVER outgrow the powerful United States of America, "IF" China never learns what is the TRUE HONOR defined by the God biblically.

How I pray and wish this book can be taught in our today's young generations. It should have been one of the most important "textbook" required in our elementary school. When a society no longer understand the weight of "HONOR", and the true meaning of "HONOR" defined by God's Holy Bible, we grow more and more corrupted (just like communism China, Russia, North Korea, Cuba etc...) because our sinful nature will only "evolve" to be more corrupted when there is no God's words to curb our own self-destructions and self-puffing sinful "narcissism" (which can be considered as deceiving ourselves ,dishonoring others and offending God by idol-worshipping.).

How I pray and desire to see America and all humanity be restored to the world where honor, honesty, and truth and trust can be seen every where in our daily life!!! Won't that type of life be so much easier for all of us? We no longer need to waste energy to guard our hearts , no one needs to lock the doors in the night, when you dropped your wallet, you can always find it. Business will be so much easy transactions. No more tons of legal documents to sign. No more waste of money on suing each other while lawyers are today's highest paid because we sue each other every day now. Lawyers never need to worry about out of their job because we live in a dishonoring society, where people cannot trust each other, and even they signed the legal document to bind each other, they still break it, so we become needing lawyers to do the professional litigation for us.

All these endless litigations and lawyer group fee add cost to our daily life, in medical field, in food, in all sorts of insurance, because too many people who also sue today, are just simply wanting to sue through litigation, they can get the easy quick money for the rest of their life.

This book is the cure. It is the answer for healing our dishonoring society. It is solid written based on God's Word, nothing else. A person never lives a life with honor and acts it out with boldness, he/she will never be able to write a book similar to this. Therefore, Mr. Copeland must be either telling you the truth with absolutely sanity, or he must be the ever-big time self-deceiving schizophrenia person himself. I know many Christian brothers and sisters have sour taste toward Mr. Copeland, but I would leave the judgement to GOD. After all, aren't we all be judged by GOD anyway? How much differences we are from Mr. Copeland?

But for me, I would say, after devouring this whole book, I surely do have way much more need to improve and get rid of my character flaws and self-righteous attitudes. The book has brought much blessings to my life. I have decided to choose an honorable way of life, and I have found myself in favors of my employers often times, and even at job interviews, I also got favors.

A life truly walking in integrity, honor, God's truth, honesty is the WAY to any success.
There is no other way to eternal life, but Lord Jesus Christ.

How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from G0D only?

John 5:44

For if we would judge ourselves,we should not be judged.

1 Cornithians 11:31

Dearly beloved,I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshy lusts, which war against the soul:

Having your conversation honest among the Gentile:that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

1 Peter 2:11,12

These are just some of the things used by Mr Copeland in his book, which further stresses his point about honour.

I think honour is a thing we take for granted. This book is divided into sections, which are thoroughly explained which biblical phrases. He puts things as simple as can be,and God willing, helps us to understand it.

Following some of the things explained in this book and doing so from our hearts can guarantee us a place in Heaven....

The sections in this book are as follows:

1)The honourable life

2)The honourless generation

3)It's foolish to be honorless

4)The honour that comes from God only

5)The honour game

6)Honour and the covenant

7)Be not slothful in business

8)Honour between God and man

9)God can make you honourable

10)Prayer for salvation and Baptism in the holy spirit.

There you have it.All Ten sections of the book.

I guarantee you that after reading the first chapter you would start to see results. But remember, reading the book is one thing, but applying what you understand is another.

So read with the intention of applying what you read.

And also remember that it is still not too late to accept Jesus as our lord and saviour.(if you haven't already done so,it is pretty simple, just pray with me:LORD JESUS,I GIVE MY HEART TO YOU AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOU MORE AND UNDERSTAND YOU MORE AND LIVE LIFE THE WAY YOU WOULD WANT ME TO.OH LORD,LET YOUR WILL BE DONE,NOT MINE OR THE WILL OF MAN.I COME TO YOU HUMBLY ON THIS DAY,I BEG YOU TO TAKE MY SINS AWAY.I LOVE YOU.TEACH ME TO LOVE AND FORGIVE THE WAY YOU DO.I PRAY ALL THIS,IN JESUS' NAME......AMEN)

You could get yourself in a good bible based church and get baptised and learn more...........God bless you.

enjoy a life with jesus in your heart.......and this book is a good way to start.Rushing into the bible at this stage might be a little too difficult for beginners, but nothing is impossible with our lord.

"Living by God's word,His code of honour,is the simplest way to live on the face of the earth. Why do we fight it so?"

"This powerful and scriptural book look at the biblical definition of honour will challenge you to live the honourable life and demonstrate that God has provided a way to live and succeed the honourable way".......Kenneth Copeland.

This review was written by Nigel....(I was a muslim, but a couple of years back I was saved by our lord, now I am a born again christian.Oh thank God...........you could be too, just repent.........bye).Amen.

Often, people without much honor are the first to gush endlessly about honor this and honor that. Ever notice how many convicts have " death before dishonor " tattooed and their arm? Ken once again inflicts his fallacies of logic and general poor handling of scripture on the public, ( for a fee, of course), and demonstrates once more that what Ken speaks and writes is exactly the opposite of what he does. Was it honorable of Ken to use Haitian refugees as a fund raising gimmick and dump the idea at his convenience? I'm not going to go into Ken Copelands " theology " because there's plenty of other things to un-recomend his whole snake-oil show. His fake down home Texas country boy routine....the large typeface used to pad out a book already suffering from a poverty of inspired ideas.....the generally bland writing style...it gets old quick. Do yourself a favor, run don't walk, from anything written or spoken by this dumpy little creep with a bad dye job...
