A profound follow-up to the bestselling book and major motion picture, The Ultimate Gift. When Jason Stevens found out he had to jump through hoops to maybe get an unnamed inheritance from his billionaire grandfather, he was not amused. By the time he'd finished learning the lessons he'd become a different man. Ready to tackle the duties of running a multi-billion dollar trust, he is once again derailed, this time by his pugnacious family. Not content with their cattle ranches and oil fields, his aunts, uncles, and even his parents are determined to see every last dime entrusted to their own self-serving pockets.

With none of the reluctance he initially showed for the Gift, he eagerly accepts the challenge and pushes himself to prove not only to his family and the court but also to the world, that with determination and the simple tenets of the Gift, anyone can lead The Ultimate Life.

This book is not a sequel to the first book. It was written as a sequel, but since the movie was nothing like the first book he had to change things.

First he changes the main character from a grand nephew to a grandson. The first book never said that Jason was ashamed to be related to Red Stevens.

The first book never mentioned the lawyer Hamilton as being black, but this book makes sure you know because in the movie he was black. I have no trouble with a black character, but let's just keep it the same!

The kidnapping by drug lords in South America was not in the first book at all (but was in the movie) and so he tried to work that into this book, but it doesn't work at all.

He changes the nurse of the little girl with cancer to he mother. In the first book there was NO romance at all, nor did it ever mention Jason meeting the mother. In the first book the girl was just one of the several people with problems whom Jason encountered, but in this book she is the only one mentioned.

In the book the amount of money involved is one billion and this book it is several billion.

I just wish the author had stuck to his own story and had not tried to incorporate Hollywood into his book.

This is very disappointing to me since I really liked the first book and hoped this book would be just as good. It has its good elelments

This is the second book of the trilogy. The first book of the trilogy (The Ultimate Gift), is recommended reading before this book because it sets the foundation of the trilogy; while the other two books (The Ultimate Life and The Ultimate Journey) re-enforces the value of life set by "Red" Stevens. My mother has left me with many gifts and messages as Red left for his grandson. One gift was her favorite song entitled "If I can Help Somebody" by Mahalia Jackson.

Each book is a different stage but working on the same things because there is no end when working on gifts, life and journey. It is definite that life does not stay the same, nor does it sit still, and it especially will not wait for no man. Gifts are just that gifts; and they are given because of love and kindness not because we deserve them.

I am now reading the last book in the series "The Ultimate Journey" and it is my prayer that my life is leaving and will have left a positive, learning impact upon those whom we have had contact. My life is a blessing and continues to be blessed; therefore, the gifts, my life and my journey are not for me alone but for others as well so they too may be blessed.

Mr. Stovall has done something I have not seen from any authors -- he has given his contact information and extended the olive branch to help some one along in life. I thank him for extending this olive branch to me too.

Another great book from Jim Stovall in the Ultimate Gift Series. This book was a lot of repetition from The Ultimate Gift book...the first in the series. It does provide a lot of information on Jason Stevens character though, so it is a valuable read. It doesn’t take long to read, but the concepts and rules by which we should all consider living our lives still apply. Thank you, Mr Stovall, for these words and thoughts... Very life changing.

I read this book with my 8th grade class. They were very interested, and could not wait for our reading time again. The class learned valuable lessons, and realized how important the smallest of things in your life could really mean the most. I would recommend this book, other books in the series and the movie. It is a great lesson for all ages to learn.

The way we live our lives can be so impactful if we're aware of the choices we make and why. The ultimate life is an example that anyone can turn around at any time and make a differemce. This sequel to the ultimate gift is a must-read and something you'll want to share. May we all live the ultimate life!

Very disappointed! I could have really gotten just as much good but rereading the first book. It sees like the author just wanted to build on his earlier success with out really adding anything to the general theme of the book. I really enjoyed the first book. I will reread it and I intend to gift the Ultimate Gift to my grandchilren

I bought this book because I loved the movie. This was different, shorter, but very good and thought provoking. The points are practical and easy to put into practice. For example, counting your blessings before you even get up in the morning and thanking God for them is such a simple thing, and starts your day off on such a good note. This is a very good book.
The first book of the series, The Ultimate Gift, was a great book. The second one however, is just as inspiring but all the same becomes a little bit too predictable. The first book introduces the gift, this book will be how the gifts are passed onto others. Unlike the first one, most of this story follows the same guideline with an exception here and there. I enjoyed the first half, then the rest became predictable and boring. If you have not read the first book, this book will briefly describe what happened in the first book which again was a little boring to read over again.
