Yet he has commented at times about the lack of good sportsmanship of others involved in the games

Our nephew plays baseball and really enjoys it. Yet he has commented at times about the lack of good sportsmanship of others involved in the games. He very much enjoyed this book especially as inspirational in character building & portrait of the real priority in sports & sportsmanship. Thank you.

I gave it last year to my 11 yr. old grandson who read it to me on the days I stay with him after school. He works everyday on his baseball skills, and the experiences he read in Playing with Purpose had a wonderful impact on him.

I recently gave it to my 23 yr. old who lives for baseball. Thank you for reaching the hearts of my grandsons!

My 13 year old had borrowed this book from the library and enjoyed it so much that I purchased this for him. It is awesome to read of athletes that realize their lives are an example and choose to behave in godly manner.

Great Book
Nice job by the authors in exploring the lives of several Christian MLB players (book was published in 2012 and some of them are no longer active). What made this extra enjoyable is the research that was done on the players' childhood and developmental years - these chapters serve as solid stand alone vignettes of the players' careers, in addition to a testimony of their faith. Kudos to the authors for putting in the work to dive deep.

Thirteen players are covered - Clayton Kershaw, Ben Zobrist, Albert PUjols, Carlos Beltran, Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Hamilton, Stephen Drew, Jeremy Affeldt (my favorite story out of all of them), Matt Capps, Mark Teixeira, Brian Roberts, Josh Willingham and Mariano Rivera.
