Thursday, December 30, 2010. A Walk With Christ To The Christ -The Last Fourteen Hours Of His Earthly Mission -Dawn McAllister. Chapter One : The Betrayer Unmasked Pgs 20-21 Lessons To Lear. he Story of Judas Iscariot tells us much we can apply to our own lives. Unless we turn from our fatal flaws(sin) and believe Christ for who He is (Lord and Savior), its possible we too might find ourselves disappointed in the message of the Cross. As with Judas, this can only lead to eternal tragedy. This Book is intense and taught me many lessons in the first chapter of my walk with God and how important it is.

In Jesus' walk to the cross and His subsequent resurrection, Dawson McAllister says, Jesus paid for our sins and gave hope and meaning to our lives; but in order to fully appreciate and apply these exciting truths, Christians must grasp the full significance of Christ's life and ministry. In looking more closely at the walk Christ took to the cross both literally and figuratively, readers will come to a dramatic and life-changing understanding of the great sacrifice Jesus made. I have read the book a couple of times. I have terminal cancer and it really helped me understand the extent of his love.

This book is totally awsome, It made me look at the way Jesus took our sins on himself, and how He loved us enough to die, in the most horriable way. Both myself and my daughter found ourselves crying often. We had no idea the book would touch us as it did. We are not students of history, and found the the way Jesus was tortured beyond our wildest imagination. The writer, really brought the Garden, The Trials, the CROSS and the Resurection to life, for us.
Be preparred to walk differently after reading this book. God Bless the author, and God Bless the reader, and Thank God, Jesus loves us all.
Thank you, Jesus, for everything you have done for us, Life Love and those last 14 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gives an excellent account of Christ's final hours, and expands into his relationships with his early followers. This book has helped me understand a time frame that I have always been confused about.

A fairly easy to read account of Jesus' last hours on earth where He fulfilled the mission the the Father gave to Him. Some parts of the account are troubling not only because of what He endured, but when you come to the realization that the punishment that He took upon himself was meant for us! God cannot tolerate sin in any form and His wrath will be aimed at every human being because we all are sinners. We all are in despair rate need of a Savior and His name is Jesus!

I ordered this for my pastor. I read it many years ago; I'll be 50 next year and Dawson McAllister conducted a Teen Retreat/Camp thing that I attended as a teenager on this subject. It was very, VERY sobering but also very enlightening. I have never forgotten the book or the lessons from that week.
I won this book in a giveaway, and it sat on my bookshelf for months, not because I didn't want to read it; I did, but because I simply did not hav the time with all of the other books I had to read and review. Finally, my schedule was caught up-to-date, and I opened the cover.

Written in a conversational tone with antidotes included, this volume goes into detail on the final fourteen hours of Christ.

It begins with an extensive examination of Judas. Another in-depth study centers on Peter. Many chapters conclude with "Lessons to Learn," a nice summary of points made. The reader follows the arrest and trials of Jesus step-by-step, with explanations of Roman and Jewish laws and traditions. A study of the name Jesus is included. This is a good source for anyone interested in the life and death of Christ.
