It's getting dated, especially given the New Perspective on Paul that Bruce doesn't spend a lot of time interacting with, since it was pretty much brand new during the final years he was working on this volume.

Ralph Philip Martin was a British New Testament scholar. Colossians 4 is the fourth chapter of the Epistle to the Colossians in the New Testament of the Christian Bible.

It is published by the William B. Eerdmans Publishing Company. Ralph Philip Martin was a British New Testament scholar. Traditionally, it is believed to be written for the church in Colossae by Apostle Paul, with Timothy as his co-author, while he was in prison in Ephesus, although there were debatable charges that it is the work of a secondary imitator or that it was written in Rome.

F.F. Bruce's study on the Epistle to the Galations is a contribution to The New International Greek Testament Commentary, a series based on the UBS Greek New Testament, which strives to provide thorough exegesis of the text that is sensitive to theological themes as well as to the details of historical, linguistic, and textual context.

This commentary had everything I needed to complete my seminary assignment. I know I will use this in the future when I study Galatians.

I Haven't read the whole thing yet, but so far it appears quite promising in its theology and presentation.

This is a very helpful and readable commentary. One does not need to be a Greek scholar to get the most out of it.

FF Bruce is one of the most gifted Greek scholars I have ever read. He treats the Scriptures with great respect and is complete with the studies that are brought forth in this commentary. A great resource for Greek scholars.

It is a great book because it is thorough and a great supplement for the study of Galatians. With great commentators as references, it is an easily read book for a lay person.

F.F. Bruce's work on the cannon of scripture is some of the best work I've seen on this topic. He does not dissapoint in his work here either. Sure glad he tackled this Epistle. Good stuff Maynard.

This is a dated expositional commentary by F.F. Bruce. The amount of depth and level of detail is lacking for anyone looking for more scholarly dialog on Galatians. I would not recommend this book to someone other than a beginner in biblical studies.
Excellent commentary. Clear writing. The overall theme and the details are both well expounded throughout. The only small drawback is the occasions when Greek words or phrases are used without definitions, but that should not stop someone from buying this book. Bruce is an excellent author.
