I bought this book as a resource for a study on the Book of Ruth --- sorry to say it does not seem to add too much insight

While there is quite a lot of interesting information and sometimes an interesting perspective because of the author's expertise in Hebrew, a lot of the time the commentary almost sounded like it was coming from a secular perspective. This surprised me because I did not think that about other authors in this series. However, I still found it very interesting.
